New Music Monday (12.31.18)

Our last edition of New Music Monday for the year!

Its Always Sunny.jpg

It’s Always Sunny has been one of the most anticipated releases of this year for us down here at Mandalay and it did not disappoint! The Tampa native’s debut album can best be described by a single bar in the closing track of the project: “New music sound like Prince features Miles Davis, add some bass to the beats so all the hoes can shake it.” Hoop embraces all the music that influences him and doesn’t shy away from combining them all together no matter how different the genres may be. It’s Always Sunny is one of the (if not the best) project to come out of Florida all year, in any and all genres. Stream It’s Always Sunny on any and all streaming platforms!

More Than Ever - Single.jpg

Lucki released another single this past week and it marks the first single for his upcoming tape FREEWAVE 3. With production from one of the hottest, young trap producers in the game Chasethemoney, the first 808 hit welcomes us back into the world of carefree flow that Lucki has made a staple in his music. This Chicago duo is doing what they do and it’s slowly becoming the norm for trap artists nationwide. Listen to More than Ever on any streaming platform!

Mink Habits. - EP.jpg

Mink Habits is a collaborative EP by Virginia artists Smokewithhutch and Desperry, with Florida’s own Vern Senior who handling all of the bouncy, lo-fi production you hear on the EP. Mink Habits runs just under 10 minutes to create the perfect soundtrack for any quick little smoke sesh. It’s the conciseness of the four-song EP that leaves us all wanting more from this state-wide trio. You can stream Mink Habits on all streaming platforms!
